Showings at 2pm, 2.45pm and 3.30pm on the Woodland Trail. Spaces are allocated on a first-come-first-served basis. Please arrive early to secure your spot.
Step along the Woodland Trail and prepare for a scary sight when the ugly witch of Penshurst Place will once again be emerging from her forest dwelling to tell you a spooky story around the crackling fire! Reward yourself for surviving her stories with a cup of Hot Chocolate and a toasted marshmallow – the perfect Halloween treat.
(Not too) Spooky Storytelling and Fancy Dress Competition

Enjoy a fun and interactive spooky (but not too spooky!) story. Make sure you come dressed for the occasion – we’re inviting children and parents of all ages to don their best costumes for our parade and fancy dress competition, with prizes for the best-dressed!
Mummification Stitch Up
29th Oct from 12.00pm – 4.00pm
Step into our embalming room and discover the preparation and sometimes squelchy practices that went into getting a body ready for the afterlife. A fantastic demonstration that really brings history to life (before preserving it for an eternity!)
