Free entry price for Gravesend Christmas Light Switch On at New Road, Gravesend
Gravesend Annual Christmas Light Switch On will take place in the Town Centre on Friday 13th November at 4pm.
Bands, including Bloco Fogo, the Glenduart Pipe Band and the Crocodile Brass Band will entertain crows in the town prior to joining the parade lead by the Mayor of Gravesham, Cllr Micheal Wenban.
The parade will commence a the St Georges Shopping Centre and will proceed through New Road in Gravesend into Windmill Street and conclude on Community Square.
The parade will come alive with additional street entertainment and we have a few other surprises in store. The Christmas lights will be trued on as the parade passes.
On reaching Community Square, the star cast of the Woodville 2015/16 Pantomime, Robin Hood and the Babes in the Wood, will entertain the gathered crowds prior to The Mayor of Gravesham leading a countdown to the switching on of the lights on Community Square Christmas tree. The entertainment will be shown on a big screen so that everyone can see what is going on.
