Volunteering with Carers Support is a fulfilling and rewarding experience. Treated with the same respect and courtesy as our paid staff, they provide hours of invaluable service to the organisation and to our carers.
Volunteers receive full induction,training and support, expenses paid, regular supervision and feedback.
Volunteering can enhance a CV and increase the chance of employment in the work place
Help is often required to cover:
Assistance with Meet & Talk Groups
Being a Telephone-Befriender
Helping carers complete Emergency Card applications
Assisting at events and with activities

Carers’ Support is a charity established in 1994 to provide high quality support to unpaid Carers.
Our services (which are free of charge) include:
Social & Wellbeing ‘Meet & Talk’ groups – including partner agency guest speakers
Carers’ Assessments – with one of our highly trained & empathetic Coordinators
1:1 Emotional Support visits
Information, advice and guidance, including signposting to specialist agencies
1:1 Telephone Befriending support
Hospital Discharge Service
Kent Carers’ Emergency Card
Rapid Response Respite support – for when things may become overwhelming
Carers’ Newsletter – providing regular updates
Training opportunities – for example ‘First Aid & Manual Handling’
