Rochester has, on the whole, retained its historic charms and is full of heritage and traditions from the castle, cathedral to links with Charles Dickens. So, Inspire decided to take a look back at images taken or sketched around 100 years ago to see what changes have been made.
The Vineyards pub photo was taken in 1937 and it is only fairly recently that is establishment seized to be a public house.
The castle grounds has changed but is still enjoyed by the general public as looked the case back in 1910.
This iconic building has certainly maintained its charm, this building can be located on Rochester High Street at the crossroads with the road leading to the castle and cathedral.
There is a long history with Rochester bridge as this is the lowest point you can cross over the river Medway.
