City Sound Project – Canterbury’s inner city music festival – returns for 2019 and once again taking over the Dane John Gardens for the May Day Bank Holiday weekend!
Last year saw 16,000 people through the gates, across both the Saturday and Sunday – making it the biggest music event in central Canterbury, EVER!
2019 marks yet another expansion for City Sound Project as more stages, more acts and HUGE headliners are planned.

Expect full festival production and some of the most exciting musicians and artists from around the globe, we’re expecting an unmissable weekend – last year almost 16,000 people came through. This year we expect even more.
Boutique bars and street-food vendors will line the side of the park, as well as independent and unique traders. Expect a diverse line-up of family friendly acts ranging from dance DJs to spoken word performers and a whole line-up brimming with talent making it the perfect day out to start summer!

** City Sound Project takes the environment very seriously, so this year we’re taking the initiative to limit our impact and go 100% recyclable. Yes, we’re going plastic-free (unless bio-degrade-able) and will be making sure all vendors and are in-line with our policies on waste/recycling.
