Family Forest Skills Easter Event at Denstead Wood – Wednesday 5th April 2017

Come and join in with our bushcraft and Easter activities set in beautiful ancient woodland at Denstead Wood, nr Chartham Hatch. Learn to make and light a fire. Build your own shelter from natural materials. Get creative decorating a beautiful Easter tree and go in pursuit of the chocolate eggs as you follow the woodland Easter trail.

Meet in parking area at Hunstead Wood, CT4 7NT. Short walk from parking area to site (approx. 0.3 miles) partly uphill. There is some uneven ground and it may be muddy.

Wear outdoor, warm clothing suitable for the weather, sturdy footwear, long trousers, long sleeves, waterproofs. Please bring a packed lunch.

Shelters will be used if weather is wet. There will be a fire, a composting toilet (accessed by steps), handwashing facilities available and hot drinks at lunchtime.

Children (minimum age 4 years) must be accompanied by an adult (max 3 children to 1 adult). Cost per adult £25; Cost per child £15.
