Blue Bell Hill Ghost Recent Sighting?
The well documented ghost story ‘The Blue Bell Hill Ghost’ looks to have made a reappearance again and it’s a story that will give you a chill.
Back in 1965 there was a tragic car accident where a woman died only days away from her wedding day near the bridge over the old Chatham Road. In fact three out of the four women in the car actually died. But it is the bride to be that witnesses believe is the ghost haunting the corner of this road.
There has been numerous, quite chilling accounts over the years since of drivers saying they had picked a girl up from this spot only to find moments later no one sitting in the back of their car, to accounts of hitting a girl with their car as she ran into the road only to find no body afterwards.
Cloud Like Body Moves Through Car
Normally Inspire would steer away from such a story, keener to promote events, offers and things to do in and around Kent, but this story is close to home as it is a family member who made the sighting late Monday evening just gone.
Neil Cheeseman, from Rochester, was driving back from Maidstone around 10pm and he said a floating cloud drifted out in front of his vehicle, all at peculiar speed that he could describe as only sudden and fast, albeit the object seemed quite graceful. What happened next gave him an almighty shock.
He said the cloud passed through his windscreen as he drove through it and at that moment he saw a woman’s face in the murky, kind of smokey substance. It made his car very cold and then just like that it had gone. The experience certainly rattled him and left him baffled as to what actually happened.
What really gave Inspire the chills was when we looked on Google and asked Neil to find images that it most closely met, and one such image he found we have posted above. It’s a well report online story of cloud type ghostly sightings.
It was only when he spoke to us at Inspire did the penny drop that this could very well been a sighting of the ghost of blue bell hill.
What else could it be?
Part of me writing this wants to dismiss it as just an anomaly – but there is a side of me that wants this to be a ghost sighting. As the idea of a ghost really adds to the mystery of the life we all live. Can there really be such a thing as a ghost?
